He is renowned for being a dedicated, accomplished coach, phenomenal rider, and all around personable guy who helps riders reach their goals and become more confident with their bike handling skills.
Kat Sweet of Sweetlines knows what it’s like to be a girl in a sport dominated by boys. She is a former pro downhiller out of Northern California who started riding 25 years ago and has never stopped. A member of Team Dirt Corps, Youth Program Manager for Cascade Bicycle Club and Trips for Kids, and a local MTB icon, Kat is known for her fun-filled kids’ and womens’ mountain bike programs. Kat has coached kids programs for the last 8 years, and women programs for 5 years. She has seen mountain biking rise to where it is today, from the days of full rigid bikes to the present, and continues to inspire, bringing new riders into the sport. Kat is a Certified IMIC Level 2 coach and also trained by Blair Lombardi, and Endless Biking, the same outfit that certifies the Dirt Series coaches. She freelances for Dirt Series, See Jane Jump, the Santa Cruz MTB Fest, Dixie Trix, and Queen of the Mountain. Kat likes to help others gain confidence, technique, and style in their riding.
