2-Day Evergreen Skills Clinic at Duthie Hill – July 21 & 22

Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance wants to unleash your riding potential!

Back by popular demand, Shaums & Kat have agreed to a 2-day event this year! So join Shaums March of Mad March Racing and the IMIC, Kat Sweet of Sweetlines, and the Evergreen IMIC certified instructors for 2-days of personal, professional instruction that will take your riding to the next level!

All skill levels are welcome! Beginner to advanced riders. We’ll spend the mornings working on skills and then hit the trails after lunch. Groups will be divided by ability. Everyone will get the opportunity to work with Shaums and Kat. The clinic is for Ages 14 and up.

Plan for 6 hours of instruction from 9am – 4pm with time for lunch and breaks. Please arrive 30 minutes early to get checked-in and set-up. Clinic will happen rain or shine. More detailed information will be emailed to registered participants.

About your instructors:

Shaums March two-time master World Champion and Red Bull Rampage competitor has been committed to perfecting the International Mountain Bike Instructor Certifications (IMIC) skill process which has been tested and proven methodology since 2001 while being at the forefront of the industry for standards. He is renowned for being a dedicated, accomplished coach, phenomenal rider, and all around personable guy who helps riders reach their goals and become more confident with their bike handling skills.

Kat Sweet
of Sweetlines knows what it’s like to be a girl in a sport dominated by boys. She is a former pro downhiller out of Northern California who started riding 25 years ago and has never stopped. A member of Team Dirt Corps, Youth Program Manager for Cascade Bicycle Club and Trips for Kids, and a local MTB icon, Kat is known for her fun-filled kids’ and womens’ mountain bike programs. Kat has coached kids programs for the last 8 years, and women programs for 5 years. She has seen mountain biking rise to where it is today, from the days of full rigid bikes to the present, and continues to inspire, bringing new riders into the sport. Kat is a Certified IMIC Level 2 coach and also trained by Blair Lombardi, and Endless Biking, the same outfit that certifies the Dirt Series coaches. She freelances for Dirt Series, See Jane Jump, the Santa Cruz MTB Fest, Dixie Trix, and Queen of the Mountain. Kat likes to help others gain confidence, technique, and style in their riding.

Evergreen instructors
are professionally trained and certified through the IMIC program. Our instructors are a diverse group of experienced, trained riders that are passionate about mountain biking and are excited to pass on their hard-earned knowledge to both new and seasoned riders.


Registration Details:

Clinic Fee: $195 for Evergreen members. Non-members must purchase an Evergreen membership for an additional $30. An annual family membership is $50. To become an Evergreen member go to the membership page. Or there is the option to purchase a membership at the time of registration through BikeReg.com. (See below)

Clinic Sign-up Instructions: Due to limitations in our current web system you will register for the clinic through BikeReg.com. Visit the link: 2012 Shaums Clinic at BikeReg.com to register for the clinic. (there is the option to purchase a membership during the registration process)

Please DO NOT register for this class on the Evergreen site. If you go to BikeReg and it won’t let you register, it means the clinic is full. You can email the instructor to be put on a waiting list.

**IMPORTANT:** If you have NOT registered through BikeReg.com then you are not registered for this class.

**Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance in order to be refunded. If it is less than 72 hours you will not be refunded. To cancel, please notify the lead instructor by clicking on the name in the upper left hand corner of the page.

Proceeds will benefit the Evergreen Education Program and Evergreen’s mission for trails.
