2012 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup is coming to Abbotsford on September 13 – 15, 2012!
Cycling BC will be hosting the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup Finals in Abbotsford, BC on September 14th and 15th, 2012. This is going to be much more than just a race; they intend to build this event into a larger off-road cycling festival, with the BMX Supercross as its centerpiece. This event will draw the best female and male BMX riders from over 30 countries and thousands of spectators to the lower mainland. Each day will be an all-day event. Time trials will be on the Friday night, quarterfinals, semi finals and finals on Saturday, and BMX Nationals on Sunday. There will also be other events occurring throughout the weekend, including musical performances, clinics for spectators and youth, Trials events, a pump track and much more. They believe that major events should be used as a vehicle to promote awareness of and interest in the Sport of cycling both locally and globally – the BMX Supercross World Cup and our accompanying festival is the perfect opportunity to do so!
The venue will feature an exhibition zone for event sponsors, teams, exhibitors and other businesses. The expo area is open to spectators with tickets, event participants and the general public, and presents a great opportunity to showcase brands, products or services.
