Fall Trail Days – October 16th is a busy one!

 

No matter where you live in the Lower Mainland, if you want to get your hands dirty on October 16th, there is a trail day for you!  North Vancouver, Port Moody and Chilliwack all have ways to give back to the trails this weekend.

 

 

North Vancouver, NSMBA Dreamweaver Trail Day:

Join us on Sunday, October 16th as we breathe new life into a well loved and well used trail. With the recent work on Executioner, the section of Dreamweaver between Baden Powell and Saint Marys has been taking a beating. Help us solve the ongoing erosion issues and make this trail super fun to ride!

Date: Sunday, October 16th, 2011
Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Meet @ 8:45am at the Upper Lynn Elementary School for coffee and shuttles to the trail head

Chilliwack, FVMBA Vedder Trail Day:

First Fall Trail Day of 2011, this is a great opportunity for those who want to give back to the trail to have a chance to come out and do just that. And for those that have been coming out regularly, this will keep the good Trail Karma flowing.

When: Sunday, October 16th, 2011 @ 9:30 am (RAIN OR SHINE)
Where: Mountain Bike Parking Lot at the Bottom of Vedder Mountain
What to Bring:

  • Some tools will be provided, but just in case bring some trail tools, a shovel, rake, bucket etc.
  • Work gloves
  • Warm clothing (dress appropriately for the weather)
  • Your friends, neighbours, family, the more volunteers the better
  • Something to snack on, and some water
  • Your $20 cash to sign up a FVMBA membership if you haven’t already done so this year

Port Moody, TORCC Mossom Creek Trail Day:

This Sunday October 16th, TORCC will be hosting a trail day to work on the Mossom Creek Trail. Mossom Creek trail is part of TORCC’s effort to build an intermediate loop on Eagle Mountain.

We will be meeting at Noons Creek Park at the corner of Panorama Drive and Stoneridge Drive at 9am and should be wrapping up around 3pm. Lunch will be provided.
