Live Event Webcasts, Video On Demand And Social Media Ramp Up Interactivity

WHISTLER, BC July 11, 2011 – Whistler, BC will be the place to be July 15-24 as the biggest mountain bike festival in the world takes over for ten days of non-stop action and events. The next best thing to being in the middle of the action in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park will be found on the internet with live webcasts powered by freecaster.tv, video on demand (VOD) segments, and social media reporting of all event results and on-the-ground action, as it happens.

“Covering Kokanee Crankworx live on Freecaster.tv is another milestone for us. Mountain Bike is Freecaster’s most popular sport, attracting very large audiences for each round of the UCI MTB World Cup and for the UCI MTB World Championships which we also webcast live,” says Raymond Dulieu, Founder of Freecaster.tv. “To date the most popular event on Freecaster has been Red Bull Rampage 2010 and I believe Kokanee Crankworx could set a new viewership record. Worldwide, Freecaster is by far the leading website covering action sports live and I would not have felt comfortable claiming this until we could add Kokanee Crankworx to our list of events. I’m looking forward to attending the event in Whistler and to breaking new records.”

Freecaster.tv will live webcast nine events, in three qualities as well as with one mobile stream. This will represent over 20 hours of live coverage; over 20 hours of replays and VOD clips; and over 100TB of data delivered to an audience in the hundreds of thousands.
