Are you passionate about learning and teaching? Do you have mad skills and love sharing the thrills of mountain biking? The Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is seeking enthusiastic, positive, and above all, patient, individuals for our Instructor Team!
PLEASE NOTE:Â Evergreen is expanding their women’s and kids’ programs this year and are primarily seeking women instructors and people who want to work with kids (can be co-ed).
Evergreen will provide International Mountain Bike Instructor Certification (IMIC) training and First Aid certification for selected candidates. Please read the requirements and review process below. Applications are due by January 6, 2013.
Commitment:
As an Instructor you commit to:
- Complete 3-day IMIC training – April  (Date TBD)
- Complete First Aid training certification (unless currently certified) – TBD: April/May
- Complete youth training with Kat Sweet if working with kids – May (Date TBD)
- Teach or assist in at least 10 classes – April through October
- Attend team meetings – monthly
Review Process:
- Online applications due Sunday, January 6, 2013
- Evergreen Instructor Team will review applications
- Selected applicants will be invited to an interview/q&a session – Monday, January 14th, Â 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Location to be announced.
- Selected applicants will complete a special Basic Skills 1 class for potential instructors at Duthie – Sun., January 20th, 10am – 1pm.
- All Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance Instructor Team members must pass a background check
The application and selection process will be completed by the end of January.
