About the JYD Race
The Junk Yard Dog race is a fantastic suburban mountain bike course. Loaded with technical singletrack, including a rock dive, drop offs, ladder bridges, logs, roots, rocks, and a downhill pump track, this is a lot of gnarl packed into one amazing race. This is BC Cup Series #1. For pre-rides, the course is open and marked – just follow the sign posts numbered from 1 to 71.

2012 High School Mountain Bike Championships
In an effort to ensure young mountain bikers are provided with an opportunity to compete for a provincial championships, Cycling British Columbia has partnered with Surrey Off Road Cycling Enthusiasts (SORCE) to host a 2012 Provincial High School Mountain Bike Championships. This event will offer the same categories as those used in the high school mountain bike commission. We look forward providing a fun and challenging day for all ages and levels of riders. Each student competes as an individual with the top schools being recognized for accumulating the most points. The event is open to any high schools student with a mechanically sound bike, helmet and gloves.

*This race is open to all. In addition to challenging advanced racers, this course is an excellent opportunity for newbies to get involved in mountain bike racing.
