Kicking Horse Opens This Weekend

The Kicking Horse Bike Park will officially open trails to the public this weekend. The Golden Eagle Express Gondola will bring guests to the alpine for sightseeing, mountain biking and dining at the award winning Eagle’s Eye Restaurant. The Kicking Horse Bike Park opening will also help kick off seven day a week summer operations this Friday June 24th.

Kicking Horse Bike Park will open with great riding conditions from the top of Blaster to the resort plaza. Trail maintenance teams have been focusing efforts on the lower mountain and working hard preparing for the weekend. Snow coverage in the alpine has receded significantly over the past two weeks with the high alpine trails anticipated to open soon.
The Golden Eagle Express Gondola will be open daily from 10:30am – 5:30pm from June 24th – September 4th. Kicking Horse Bike Park extended play is offered on Friday evenings from June 24th – September 2nd with the last lift up the gondola at 7:45pm.
The award winning Eagle’s Eye Restaurant will be open daily for lunch and providing dinner service on select weekends including the return of the Summer Dinner Concert Series featuring three signature dinners on July 1st, August 12th and September 2nd. Dinner reservations are required.
Catamount Chair will be operational providing access to the lower bike park and novice trails. The chair will be operational this Saturday June 25th and Sunday June 26th from 11:00am – 3:00pm and reopening Friday – Sunday starting July 1st. The Grizzly Bear Refuge will remain closed until further notice.
