Mud Run Ride Recap

Press Release

2011 is coming to the end and our thoughts have been on some amazing Muddy times times this year in Campbell River and North Vancouver. In both cases, we had some great weather, fantastic racers and volunteers and lots of fun in the mud. We hope the rest of your year was time well spent on your bike, in a trail or just relaxing in the sun.

WELCOME TO SOME NEW MUD
As it starts to get a little cold to get muddy, we have been finding some fun projects to do that keep us inside and warm.

Have you been to our new website? There are some great Dave Silver photos from some past races, new Volunteer Page and will be adding more information as we iron out the details for the 2012 Mud Run Ride Season. Be sure to click over and take a look. www.mudrunride.com.
We have had our Facebook page for a while now and if you haven't had a chance to "Like" us, go to https://www.facebook.com/mudrunride. This is a great place to get the most updated news, photos and information before they get on our newsletters. For those who like to keep things to 140 letters or less, you can now follow us @mudrunride on Twitter.

CAMPBELL RIVER REGISTRATION is OPEN
Looking for a training goal for 2012? This will be our third year heading up island to set up the Mud Pit in Campbell River and we will be there on May 12, 2012. Find that Muddy friend of yours and register today. Do so before March 31 and save $10. Visit our two presenting sponsors - Swicked Cycles and Shorerunners - and they can help you save another $10. They will also be able to answer your gear and clothing questions for getting outside in 2012. So to recap, register today and you can save $20 per team. Not a bad way to start the racing season.
Go to our website to find out all the details.

SMILING in MUD
As mentioned, the new website has some photos of muddy people having fun. Check out our great friend Dave Silver's photos of the Campbell River Race last year (http://gallery.davesilverphotography.com). He has some amazing photographs from around the world and in our own back yard and we were fortunate to have him come up and photograph our event for the last two years.

VOLUNTEERS
Our races have been successful because of the great volunteers who have come out and join us. If you are thinking about coming to our race, but can't race, come out and volunteer. Perhaps you have someone racing and you want to help cheer them along or you are interested in racing in the future, but want to see what the race is all about.

You get to share in the excitement with the racers, check out some of the great trails in your back yard and meet some other mud-minded friends. All volunteers receive this year's new MUD shirt, lunch from us at the Post Race Party, your name put in for some great draw prizes and a $10 coupon off of a future Mud Run Ride Team Registration (note that only one coupon can be used per team). Go to our Volunteer link on our website or email John (john@mudrunride.com) if you have any questions.
The MUD family will like to wish everyone Happy Holidays and that you have a fun holiday season. If you find some snow, make some snow angels - If you find some mud, make mud angels. We look forward to see you in 2012, on the road, in the trails and at all the great local Adventure Races.

Happy Holidays!
