Vanessa, a former downhill world champion from New Zealand, has had a long and successful career in mountain biking. Since recovering from a broken neck, which she suffered in early 2007 at an accident during the New Zealand Downhill National Championships, she supports the “Wings for Life” Spinal Cord Research Foundation. After the 2007 MTB season Vanessa retired from World Cup downhill racing.
