The Gala, a freeride contest for the girls during Crankworx, is set to go for July 23rd and 24th. Amateurs and pros are invited to attend what promises to be two days of fun, progression and camaraderie!!
The course is divided into 4 stations: Jump, Technical descent, Air and Slopestyle. The ‘Slopestyle’ will have two options: the Bone Yard (using some of the features that will be there for the men’s Slopestyle) or a series of table top jumps (location TBA). We incorporated this option for those who would prefer to not ride in the Bone Yard.
So, if a certain station is beyond what you’d like to ride, then you don’t need to – of course you will not receive points for that station but you will gain in the main goals of the event – to have fun, progress and get the girls out there riding!
Training commences on Monday with the competition set to go on the Tuesday. Amateurs can expect some great prizes and pros can expect a $2800 prize purse. Registration is open so go to www.crankworx.com to sign up!!!
