The GEARJAMMER is Coming Up This Weekend!

As the saying goes – “If you want to race the best trails in Squamish, you want to race the GearJammer,”
The Gearjammer is like the Test of Metal in that it is epic and amazing but unlike the Test it is almost all Singletrack trails. And not just any singletrack but some of the sweetest Squamish has to offer (which is pretty awesome). The trail gnomes have been hard at work making the trails super buff and ready to race.

THE DETAILS:

Start Time
The race starts at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 21, 2012 on Alice Lake Road. Race plates must be picked up by 10:00 am, a full hour before the start. We allow “day of” registration, so it can get a little busy that morning – please arrive in plenty of time and be prepared to pay cash for your entry if you have not pre-registered.

Race Plate Pickup
Friday 20th July, 2012.
Pick up your race plates on Friday July 20th at Nester’s Market in Station Square at the corner of Highway 99 and Cleveland from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

No one will be allowed on the course without a race plate. All riders will be racing using race plates provided.

Please note that there is a tear-off section of the plate – PLEASE DO NOT remove that section, as the timers need it at the finish line to track your finish time.

Parking and Shuttle
It’s a point-to-point race, so there are shuttles from the Adventure Centre, Squamish to the start line at Alice Lake.
Shuttles will be running from 8:00 am until 10:15 am.
Parking at Alice Lake for the start area is up in Alice Lake Park.
Finish area Parking is free and is in the large parking area beside Rose Park. If this area fills there is additional parking at Squamish Elementary School.

Prizing and Award Ceremony
Check at the draw prize tent at the finish line to see if you have won a random draw prize. Winners must collect their prizes in person. Sorry, we cannot mail out prizes.
The award ceremonies begin at 3:30 pm. Racers must be on hand to accept their medals. Sorry, we cannot mail out medals.
