Willow Koerber Joins Trek World Racing XC Roster

(Waterloo, WI & Malaga, Spain) – Professional mountain biking’s femme fatale Willow Koerber (USA) was officially assimilated into the Trek World Racing family this week at the team’s training camp in Malaga, Spain.

2011 will be Willow’s inaugural year with TWR, as she moves over from the US-based Subaru-Trek team for her first season riding a full World Cup schedule. After a stellar 2010, Koerber is looking forward to stepping onto the world stage for the first time in her career.

“Focusing completely on the World Cup circuit is something that I’ve been working towards for a few years now.” Koerber said. “I’m really looking forward to testing myself against the world’s best.”

Another rider taking a huge step forward in his career is Trek World Racing’s 2010 U-23 World Cross Country Champion Mathias Flückiger, as he showcases his talents on the world Elite level.

“This is a big year for me,” Mathias said. “Last year was great but Elite is going to be a big jump. I am ready.”

The full 2011 Trek World Racing Cross Country Team includes Willow Koerber, Mathias Flückiger, and brother Lukas Flückiger.
